Betting Tips in the Championship Today
We are not offering a prediction on arguably the most interesting Championship match of the weekend: Sheffield United v Middlesbrough – where Chris Wilder manages his new club against his old club, United.
Both Clubs are bang in form with four wins and a draw from their last five.
Given home advantage if we were to bet on this it would be for Sheffield United at 2.15 but all results are possible so we are leaving it out of our Championship betting guide.
We also think West Brom are worth a small bet at Championship odds of 1.52 at home to Cardiff.
We would also bet on a reviving Bournemouth at home to beat a really struggling Peterborough who have only avoided defeat on the road once in ten games.
It’s worth a bet at Championship odds of 1.46 – the only thing holding us back are the even better bets in our Championship betting guide below.
Remember our predictions and pro tips consistently come out on top above all other tipsters.
Championship betting guide: Saturday 1st January 2022
Championship betting guide: Blackpool v Hull
Blackpool are bottom of our Championship form table for five games and second bottom for ten games, with just one win in that time and six defeats.
They are a bit better at home with a win and two draws in their last five.
Hull are in better form, sitting 7th in our form table for the last five games overall and for their last five aways.
With Blackpool having lost four of their last five we want to bet on Hull here.
Home: 2.12
Draw: 3.6
Away: 3.7
EagleBet Championship Prediction: Away win
EagleBet Championship pro betting tip: Draw no bet Hull is a brilliant bet at Championship odds of 2.63
Championship betting guide: Sunday 2nd January 2022
Championship betting guide: Blackburn v Huddersfield
Blackburn are by far the top form team in the division, topping our form table by a mile and consistently being tipped in our Championship betting guides.
They have 8 wins and a draw from their last ten matches.
When Barnsley scored against Blackburn in midweek (while losing 2-1) it was the first time in seven that Blackburn even conceded a goal.
Huddersfield are decent, sitting 6th in our form table over the last five games. They have two wins and a draw from their last five aways.
Blackburn’s run has to end sometime – especially if they lose star striker Ben Brereton-Diaz in January. He is picking up serious Premier League interest and was lauded by former club legend Alan Shearer midweek.
But for now Blackburn have him and should be too strong for Huddersfield.

Championship Prediction: Home win
Championship 2022 pro betting tip:Home win astonishingly good value
Championship betting guide: Monday 3rd January
Championship betting guide: Nottingham Forest v Barnsley
Yes Forest lost to one of the big form sides in Middlesbrough last time out but before that had been virtually unbeatable for ages.
Forest are still 4th in our form table for the last 10 games while Barnsley are joint bottom with just one win.
Home: 1.82
Draw: 3.62
Away: 5
Championship Prediction: Home
Championship 2022 pro betting tip: Forest great value for the win
Championship betting guide: Nottingham Forest v Huddersfield
Until Forest lost last time at Middlesbrough they had been almost unbeatable. Forest were second only to Blackburn in the form table and we have personally won a lot of bets after tipping them in our Championship betting guides. Prior to that defeat they had only lost one game in 16, and that to Fulham.
Their only fault was that they were perhaps drawing too many – five of the last 10.
Huddersfield were on a difficult run but have bounced back to win their last two, following two draws.
Forest are unbeaten in five at home.
Huddersfield haven’t won back to back away since 2016/7.
Home: 2.03
Draw: 3.5
Away: 4.2
EagleBet Championship Prediction: Home win or draw
EagleBet Championship pro betting tip: We think Forest will win this but we like being honest in our Championship betting guide and we have just a winty bit of doubt – hence we have bet Forest draw no bet at Championship odds of 1.5
