Wednesday night saw the first FIFA World Cup Qualifiers of the 2021/2 season. Here we look at Thursday’s matches which sees major footballing giants such as Germany, England, Spain, Belgium and UEFA European Champions Italy all in action. It should be a great night of football and below we give you all the odds, predictions and tips you need for the World Cup qualifiers.
Thursday World Cup Qualifiers Odds & Predictions
Like so many of these one-sided matches there is not much value in the odds on Belgium (1.7) away to Estonia, England (1.49) away to Hungary, Italy at home to Bulgaria (1.1) or Germany (whatever their performance in the Euros) at 1.01 against Liechtenstein.
So what about other markets?

Best Bets Today
We have been looking at the first scorer in Germany v Liechtenstein and Hungary v England.
For Germany, their goal scorers should be queuing up. Serge Gnabry scored twice for Bayern Munich against Cologne in his team’s 3-2 win so is in hot form and is tempting at 4.0, particularly given that the next placed Timo Werner looks much less good value at 4.5 – a player who will be less confident following his poor season last year.
Harry Kane is favourite for England at 3.6 but he is not fully match fit yet after his summer sulk so isn’t even certain of starting. Patrick Bamford is next at 5.5 but again we don’t know for sure if he will start, and we are not massive fans. Given his performance at the Euros Raheem Sterling looks worth a bet at 6.0

As for that match itself, Hungary might be better than the odds suggest (9.2, draw a long 4.45) given they have drawn against Germany and France recently, with only a 3-0 defeat to Portugal representing a bad defeat.

Sweden vs Spain Odds And Predictions
Traditionally Sweden struggled against Spain but the Scandis have drawn their last two matches against the former World Cup Champions. The Swedes have been in quite good form, at least until their 2-1 loss to Ukraine in Euro 2020. Spain are getting draws but are struggling to win and have a leaky defence.
EagleBet’s best betting tip is to think about the 2.5 goals bet – there will be goals in this fixture. Three of Sweden’s and four of Spain’s last five games has seen both teams scoring.
Think also about Alexander Isak to find the net against Spain.

Spain are the clear favourite of the bookies at 1.82 but we don’t see much value in that.
Sweden seems generous at 5, but if you can’t quite see that result, a draw at 3.75 excites us.
Popular Bets For This Thursday’s FIFA World Cup 2022 Qualifiers
We are also mildly intrigued by the odds in one of the less glamorous ties, Iceland (ranked 52) at home to Romania (45). They might look evenly matched but Romania are in really poor form (having lost their last four matches).
EagleBet Predictions For Iceland vs Romania
We will have a small bet on Iceland at 2.8.
