World Cup Qualifiers Pro Betting Tips & Predictions – Weekend

ibra

Welcome to EagleBet’s betting guide for Sunday’s World Cup qualifiers. Germany travel to Armenia while Spain host Sweden and Croatia entertain Russia, all on Sunday. We also have betting guides for the World Cup Qualifiers on Thursday and on Friday. There are further World Cup Qualifiying matches on the Saturday but we recommend you save your money on those ties as we didn’t see enough value in any of them to risk a bet. In the bets below however we think you could make money and, like the Eagle, soar with winners.

Armenia v Germany – Pro Betting Tips

The bookies don’t seem to have caught up with the news that Germany’s team could be decimated by Covid, with five out at the time of publication. Of course Germany should still win easily, but it does impact the margin of probable victory, as we noted in our World Cup Qualifiers betting guide for Thursday with predictions and tips for Germany’s match against Liechtenstein.

And given Germany have already qualified, Hansi Flick has been dropping hints he is likely to go with a more experimental side with the likes of recalled Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Brandt likely to get game time. All of which suggests this would end in a huge score.

Against that, Germany won the home match against Armenia 6-0 which sets the tone and are first in their group (Armenia are third).

Armenia are at World Cup Qualifying odds of 25 to win; the draw is 9 and Germany is 1.13 with 888.

However, if you are looking at the over-goals market, be careful. Gnabry, Kimmich (both big goal threats) and other Bayern Munich stars from the Bundesliga will presumably be out with Covid. This leaves a lot of responsibility for German goals on players who haven’t been prolific. Werner and Havertz have just three Premier League goals between them for Chelsea so far this season.

EagleBet prediction: Away win – but look at World Cup Qualifying odds of 3.3 at under 2.5 goals as the score might be less convincing than normal due to absences

EagleBet tip: At time of writing Thomas Muller’s odds for any time scorer had not been published but this has to be worth looking at as Germany will be pushing him forward as much as possible. If you think Armenia might score, back Mkhitaryan who has proved himself at the highest level.

Spain v Sweden – Pro Betting Tips

Have bookies over-priced Spain at just 1.36 to beat Sweden? The Swedes are a hefty 10.50 to win, with the draw at World Cup Qualifying odds of 4.8.

Have they even looked at the group table? Spain are second, Sweden are first.

The last three matches between these two (for what this stat is worth) has seen two draws and a win to Sweden.

Sweden have been in decent form with just two defeats in 14. We get that Spain are rightly favourites, but are the Swedes really 10.50 outsiders?

Zlatan Ibrahimovic might soon need a walking stick at 40, but we think the bookies are really underestimating Sweden.

EagleBet prediction: Home win the single most probable outcome, but surely that is not the bet

EagleBet tip: Draw no bet Sweden at World Cup Qualifier odds of 5.4 looks generous. Or consider Sweden on the Asian Handicap

Croatia v Russia – Pro Betting Tips

A top of the table clash with Croatia second on 17 points behind Russia on 19 in this World Cup Qualifier. The Russian leg was drawn. Both have scored an impressive 13 goals each, Russia conceding five, Croatia just three.

When Russia come up against decent sides – as they did losing to Belgium at the Euros – they can suddenly look laboured and, apart from in World Cup qualifiers, haven’t been great. Croatia, by contrast, have been generally good.

The straight bet on Croatia seems way too far in favour of the Croats: 1.58, with the draw 3.89 and Russia right out on World Cup Qualifying odds of 4.85.

So a dilemma how to bet on this World Cup Qualifier.

EagleBet prediction: Home win

EagleBet tip: We have really wrestled with different permutations. Given the teams are fairly closely balanced we did consider the draw. But fundamentally we think Croatia are that bit better and we are aware both teams have very good defences so Croatia and under 3.5 goals at World Cup Qualifying odds of 2.18 is a very solid bet
